Highway's Story
Highway, a six month old male Weimaraner, came to rescue from Tucson where he was in grave condition after a car accident. He was discovered late in the evening laying on the road and two kind strangers picked him up and took him to an Emergency Vet. As these good Samaritans were not the dog's owners, the doctors could not perform more than basic medical treatment but Highway was in really bad shape. His left foreleg was severely broken and he was in danger of losing it. Highway was transported to Phoenix and Arizona Weimaraner Rescue took him in. Dr Brooks a specialist surgeon, working with Doctors Reiter and Goldhammer at Village Animal Clinic performed the necessary surgery. Today Highway has a new home and a blue Weimaraner sister. The only recognisable symptom of his past troubles is a small limp when he gets tired. Truly an amazing animal! |
